The 2024 Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament was held in Lueshui Village, Maogou Town, Baojing County, Xiangxi Tujia and Miao Autonomous Prefecture on June 16.
12 dragon boat teams from Songtao County of Guizhou Province, Xiushan County of Chongqing City, as well as Jishou City, Huayuan County, and Baojing County of Hunan Province participated in the race, presenting a wonderful aquatic sports feast for the people in the border areas of the three provinces.
Since 1994, Yueyang City has provided assistance to Baojing County in industries, talents, technology, and other aspects. This year marks the 30th anniversary of Yueyang City’s counterpart assistance to Baojing County. The dragon boat invitational tournament is one of the 30th anniversary activities. Yueyang is striving to set up a new model for providing counterpart assistance to Baojing County, opening up a new chapter in the implementation of the rural revitalization strategy.
